Membership
Membership in the Division shall consist of three classes, namely (1) Regular (2) Associate and (3) Affiliate.
Regular membership shall be open only to a general contractor – (which is defined as any individual, firm or corporation which, by agreement with another party, undertakes to execute work of construction in its entirety and at least in part with its own construction forces) – who has successfully engaged in general construction for at least two (2) years prior to applying for membership in the Division (or, if a firm or corporation organized within that period, whose executive manager have had at least two (2) years experience in construction prior to entering such firm or corporation) and who has established a reputation for skill, integrity and responsibility. Every Regular member of the Division shall also be a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. and the AGC of Ohio.
Associate membership shall be open to subcontractors, that is, to those individuals, firms or corporations of approved standing and responsibility whose activities are related to the construction industry and who have mutual labor-management problems and who employ personnel directly connected with the construction industry. Every Associate member shall be an Associate member of AGC of Ohio.
Affiliate membership shall be open only to those individuals, firms or corporations of approved standing and responsibility engaged principally in the manufacture and/or sale of materials and/or equipment and/or services used by contractors engaged in construction. Every Affiliate member shall be an Affiliate member of AGC of Ohio.
