Employers Association
Purpose and Objectives
The purpose and objectives of this Association
shall be to foster the business of contractors employed in construction as
follows:
- To develop and improve the pile driver contracting trade
and promote the industry.
- To promote and encourage a better understanding and
closer relationship among deep foundation contractors and the union.
- To promote and improve job site safety.
- To standardize methods and operations among deep
foundation contractors, thus stabilizing and making uniform all aspects of
the trade.
- To continually encourage quality workmanship and high
professional standards on the part of the members of the association.
- To encourage and aid in the recruitment and training of
apprentices in the industry.
- To support and encourage the training and upgrading of
journeyperson skills.
- To promote and encourage better understanding and
cooperation between employers, employees and the union.
- To encourage sound and efficient business standards.
- To cooperate with related labor and employer
organizations for the purpose of jointly improving the status and profile of
the subcontractors role in the building industry.
- To represent its members in collective bargaining, and in
the adjustment of grievances which may occur between the organizations of
employees and employers.
There is no intention, nor shall there be any action, on the
part of this organization to control or in any way to deal with prices or
restrict competition.
Membership - Eligibility
Any individual firm or corporation regularly
engaged in and primarily interested in the promotion of the construction
industry and regularly engaged in such industry for a period of at least six
months previous to application shall be eligible to membership in this
Association.
