Purpose and Objectives
The purposes for which this Association is
formed are:
-
To deal with technical and trade
promotional problems of the bridge, structural and ornamental iron industry
in the jurisdictional area covered by Iron Workers Local No. 17.
-
To strive for improvement of
employer-labor relations within the industry and for reasonable and
equitable solutions to problems of labor, including labor working
conditions.

To do any and all other lawful acts and
things to develop the ability of the industry better to serve the public, to
promote the expansion of the bridge, structural and ornamental iron industry
and to protect any other legitimate common interests of the members.
Membership – Eligibility
Any person, firm, partnership or corporation
actively engaged in employing Iron Workers belonging to Iron Workers Local No.
17 shall be considered a steel and iron contractor and shall be eligible for
membership subject to the requirements, terms and conditions of membership.
