This Association shall operate for the benefit of Sheet Metal Contractors and person, firms and corporations engaged in the business of building, construction and contractors in allied fields whose place of business is located in, but not limited to, the entire counties of Erie, Huron, Lorain and Sandusky, Ohio.

Purpose

The purpose of this Association shall be to foster and encourage the mutual and common business interest of those persons, firms, or corporations engaged in the business of building, construction and contractors in allied fields, to reform abuses and to secure freedom from unlawful and unjust actions, to promote free interaction between those persons engaged in said business and kindred trades, to maintain and encourage relations between employees, and their employers in said business; to prevent unjust and unreasonable discrimination against any person or persons in matters relating to the business of this Association; and, in general, to foster and advance the overall progress of the membership of the Association.

It shall be the further purpose of this Association to enter into collective bargaining negotiations with any union representing the crafts employed by members of this Association on matters pertaining to wages, hours, and other conditions of employment and to execute such collective bargaining agreements by, for and on behalf of said members of the Association, with the common objective of limiting strikes, boycotts, and other jurisdictional disputes, where possible, recognizing that the attainment of such objectives is in the best interests of the employee, employer and community.

Membership

Members of this Association shall be persons, firms or corporations engaged in the sheet metal industry or in allied fields in the four county area.
