19-Point Agreement Revision Agreed To

The 19-Point Jurisdictional Agreement between the Carpenters Regional Council Appendix “D” and the Building Laborers Local #310 originally negotiated on February 26, 2971 has been revised.  After several recent meetings between representatives of the Carpenters, the Laborers, CEA, the Carpenter Contractors Association and the AGC of Ohio, Cleveland Division, all parties have agreed to a new revision that is now a 16-Point Agreement.  This new agreement applies to commercial work only in Cuyahoga and Geauga Counties.

Both Labor and Management representatives believe this revised agreement will continue to eliminate jurisdictional disputes and provide a better understanding between these organizations.

POSTING REQUIREMENT UPDATE – NEW FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE EFFECTIVE JULY 24TH

The U.S. Department of Labor has released a revised federal minimum wage poster that reflects the recently enacted minimum wage increases. Employers must post, and keep posted, a notice explaining the Act in a conspicuous place in all of their offices and jobsites.

The new minimum wage takes effect July 24, 2007. A downloadable .pdf file of the poster is made available by the Department of Labor online at: http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/posters/flsa.htm

If you already have labor law posters displayed, just print the new poster and include it with your other postings.
