Training for Minorities in Construction

CEA's effort to develop a strong contingent of small, minority- and female-owned contractors includes providing members with the business education and construction training necessary for success.

We are committed to training for minorities in construction and helping open doors to new opportunities.

Equipping Contractors

We offer numerous training programs to strengthen and improve under-represented contractors’ operations and business practices by partnering with the Urban League, Hard Hatted Women, Minority Business Solutions, Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and community organizations.

These training programs focus on key Contractor Success Indicators developed by the Contractors Assistance Association and CEA with the support of large and small contractors.

Small contractors can take advantage of CEA's Contractor Success Series - a comprehensive small-contractor education program focused on equipping small contractors in the areas of construction management that matter most—such as estimating, accounting, legal issues, technology, sustainable practices and safety.

Owner Briefings

Our Owner Briefings allow project owners and small contractors to develop and deepen business relationships while discussing the owners' contracting guidelines, processes and business opportunities while promoting and encouraging owners to utilize diverse contractors.
