Medical marijuana: Impact on the Injured Worker and the Employer Medical marijuana is a hot topic and will continue to be well into 2020. You will learn the impact of chronic pain; medical marijuana and CBD use; legal and FDA positions; and impact to employers and evidence-based approaches to care for chronic pain.

WorkStrategies Coordinator

Graduated from the University of Akron with a BS in Education and received my master’s from West Virginia University in Sports Medicine. I have been working in outpatient physical therapy and treating workers comp patients for 30 years and now the WorkStrategies Coordinator for NovaCare Rehabilitation. Current responsibilities include working onsite with employers to reduce Worker’s Comp claims and OSHA recordables with our Early Symptom Intervention program triaging injuries using OSHA first aid protocols. Work with case managers and physicians to reduce lost work time to get injured employees back to work in a safe and timely manner by integrating functional, work related programs for the injured employee. Perform office and work place ergonomics to make jobs safer and do Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) for multiple employers on new potential hires.
