Jule Weis Bio:

Current position: Compliance Assistance Specialist for the Cleveland Area OSHA Office.  Have been in the Cleveland office for 32 years, 15 of which were as an Industrial Hygienist performing safety and health inspections. Also held the position of Assistant Area Director for one year. 

The Compliance Assistance position was established by the agency to enhance OSHA’s outreach efforts to small businesses, labor and other organizations through speeches, seminars, partnerships, alliances, the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) and various training sessions.  Numerous seminars and speeches conducted including, but not limited to, American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturer’s Association, Cuyahoga Community College, National Federation of Small Businesses, various construction organizations, safety councils, Cleveland Bar Association, etc.

Prior to working for OSHA, various positions were held in the medical field including laboratory technologist and dialysis technician. Also held a position as a research assistant in the Biochemistry Dept. at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH.
