External Credit - Excavation Safety Day presented by the CEA, City of Cleveland and OSHA

                

Trenching and Excavation are among the most hazardous construction operations. OSHA defines an excavation as any man-made cut, cavity, trench, or depression in the earth’s surface formed by earth removal. The purpose is to expand awareness by reaching as many workers as possible throughout any and all industries that may benefit from information about the latest excavation requirements and safety procedures.

Industry-Specific Safety Program
The Industry-Specific Safety Program (ISSP) encourages Ohio’s employers to use the DSH safety services and programs to train their employees about safety policies and procedures specific to their industry.Completion of this course qualifies for one activity credit per employer in any payroll category.

Safety Councils
Safety councils host monthly meetings on topics related to occupational safety and health, accident prevention, risk management, health and wellness, and workers’ compensation issues. Completion of this course qualifies for one external credit per company.
