Franklin Lebo. Ph.D., Kent State University; J.D., University of California, Hastings College of the Law; B.A., Brandeis University. Dr. Franklin B. Lebo, Esq. is an assistant professor and co-director of Baldwin Wallace University’s Sustainability program. As BW’s STARS liaison to the international Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), he is responsible for the university wide assessment of P3 (people/planet/prosperity) issues from technical topics such as energy and waste streams to those related to social equity and diversity. Over the past 11 years, he has designed and instructed multiple courses in business, management, and leadership on topics ranging from biomimetic product design and development to organizational ethics and regulatory compliance at both the MBA and undergraduate levels. Frank has multiple publications on topics such as renewable energy, administrative systems, international trade, and human rights. He has also advised Japanese officials at the National Personnel Authority on restructuring their administrative system and published a book on this subject last year. Lebo has appeared on the television and has been cited or featured in multiple business outlets from Cleveland Crain’s to Cleveland Business Connects. He has served as a judge twice for Beta Gamma Sigma’s business case study competitions hosted at Playhouse Square on Google's relationship to China and the Solyndra fiasco. Lebo also has significant experience in the nonprofit arena such as serving on the Great Lakes Energy Development Task Force. He was also awarded two Gold Level Service Awards from Barack Obama for his work with Cleveland’s underserved youth as a founding member of the Cleveland chapter of Minds Matter. Lebo is also a licensed attorney in Ohio
