CMAP Academy

CEA's Construction Management Academy Program (CMAP) was established in 2009 to provide local young men and women from Cleveland Metropolitan School District meaningful exposure to the construction industry through:

  • Foundational construction education
  • Soft-skills training and professional development
  • Internships with CEA Member contractors

 

CMAP students received 160 hours of classroom and field trip activities including:

  • OSHA
  • First Aid / CPR
  • Accounting
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Estimating Skills
  • Job Readiness Skills
  • Constuction Industry, as well as College and Career exposure 
  • Paid Internship Opportunities

 Several participants are currently employed in professional postions within the construction industry. The CMAP program ended in 2014.
