Topic: Crystaline Silica

Kent will be discussing OSHA's directive that compliance safety and health officers will be enforcing and the requirements of the agency’s respirable crystalline silica standards. OSHA’s silica directive covers requirements such as methods of compliance, exposure assessment, housekeeping, respiratory protection, regulated areas, recordkeeping, hazard communication, employee training, and medical surveillance.

Bio:  Kent serves as Director of Safety and leads CEA's Safety Programming as well as the Construction Safety Council.    Kent graduated with a degree in Safety and Environmental Management from Slippery Rock University in 2002 and obtained his Certified Safety Professional designation in April of 2009.
