Asst Chief Engineer
Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
The Assistant Chief Engineer will have full responsibility of managing building operations, including directing the activity of the operations team working multiple shifts, scheduling customer work requests and preventive maintenance activities. The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for administering the safety programs required by OSHA and the client, employee management and development. The Assistant Chief Engineer will have thorough knowledge of building systems combined with strong people skills
Additional Areas of Responsibility
• Engineering staff supervision, management and development• Critical environments management Standard of Procedures (SOP) development• Method of procedures (MOP) development• Conduct annual compliance training for engineering teams• Control employee overtime by efficiently scheduling work assignments and monitoring performance
Other Information/Requirements
• Qualified candidates will have at least five years of demonstrated advancement in the field of building engineering operations or related field• Experience in engineering staff supervision and management, including staff selection, evaluation, training, and career and performance counseling• Experience in the development of expense and capital budgets• Excellent communications skills both oral and written• Basic understanding of accounting, office technology, systems and equipment
