Consulting Engineer (Transportation/Traffic & Bridges)
Under administrative direction, provides engineering advisory services related to divisional or departmental projects and activities. Performs other job-related duties as required.
Perform numerous duties such as request for proposal, consultant selection, administration of plan development process or in-house design, construction document preparation, bid process administration, preparation of legal agreements, claims negotiation, project reporting, project liaison with the neighborhood, compliance with regulatory requirements, grant writing.
A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Four years of full time paid engineering or construction experience in the design or construction of roads and bridges is required. Must have a State of Ohio Professional Engineer's License. (Substitution: Must have a temporary Professional Engineer License at the time of hire in which case, must have a permanent license within 90 days of the issuance of such temporary license.)
