Junior Stormwater Inspector
Assists with stormwater-related technical and analytical tasks to meet the defined level of service goals within the District’s service area. Assists with conducting complex discovery and preventative stormwater maintenance field inspections and condition assessments and recommends changes to inspection and maintenance schedules. Conducts field investigations to confirm stormwater infrastructure inventory properties and local drainage patterns. Supports pre- and post-maintenance project activities.
Assists with analyzing and problem-solving issues related to stream dynamics and processes using hydrologic and hydraulic principles. Conducts condition assessments of a range of stormwater asset types, including streams, culverts, ponds, dams, bio-retention facilities, infiltration trenches, and stormwater pipes. Helps to predict potential impacts to stormwater assets on an individual asset, tributary, or sub-watershed basis.
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Geology, Hydrology or a closely related field.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record in accordance with the District’s acceptable guidelines.
