Project Inspector 2
Performs inspection of the installation of new and/or replacement of sanitary and storm mainline sewers, laterals, service connections, and appurtenances. Maintaining daily reports and records of progress and performance on the assigned job. Recording of all measurements and tabulation of necessary data, including sewer pipe footage installed and tested, wye and lateral location log.
Prepares sketches and as -built drawing, when necessary, to reflect final location and configuration of sewer and appurtenances. Conduct line acceptance testing of sewers as required . Communicate effectively with supervisor, contractors, engineers, city officials, and the general public.
High school or vocational school graduate and ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages ; read and write common vocabulary; plus 600 hours training in construction practices and procedures (or 6 months experience); or any equivalent. Possess a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License; maintained in good standing.
Experience in construction or sewer maintenance; must be familiar with the methods , practices, tools, materials and machinery used in the construction industry, especially the storm water and wastewater field
