Project Inspector Intern
Intent of Program: Provide the project technical/field experience needed to meet the prequalification requirements for a Project Inspector. The Project Inspector Internship represents a training and mentorship program intended to provide an opportunity for participants to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to become Project Inspectors. A primary purpose of ODOT's Project Inspector Intern Program is to train and provide increased opportunities for individuals in the engineering consultant industry.
The Project Inspector Intern is an individual not yet prequalified as a Project Inspector. The individual is hired by a firm that provides construction engineering, management or inspection services. The individual is hired on a full-time or part-time basis and is closely supervised by either a qualified Project Inspector, Construction Engineer or Construction Manager.
- High School Diploma or high school equivalency (HiSET, TASC, or GED), ability to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computation for length, area and volume.
