Senior Electrical Engineer
Will prepare LEED documentation for LEED projects (15%). Takes the lead in developing specifications, working drawings, instructions, and other related documents of a complex project of moderate size using AutoCAD, and REVIT BIM software (10%). Plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee the work of lower-level engineers who assist with particular projects (15%). Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of construction activities (10%).
Develop scope of work documents and design criteria and equipment selection for Step 1 process for preparation of construction documents (15%). Reviews and cross checks others vendor bids and drawings for major components to be used in the system to assure compliance with specifications, code and requirements of the project (5%). Reviews drawings and evaluates the need for design changes and makes appropriate recommendations (15%).
Master of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering plus 3 years engineering work experience; or, Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering plus 6 years of engineering work experience. Design and engineer lighting, power, grounding, life safety and auxiliary systems for large scale industrial buildings which are complex in nature; Prepare construction drawings with use of REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM software; Engineering calculation for voltage drop, short circuit current and Arc fault study. EIT Completion. LEED Certification.
