Senior Technician (Electrician)
Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
The Senior Technician (Electrician) maintains and enhances Park District's properties and facilities with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading electrical systems and equipment, and assisting other skilled trades. With the additional responsibilities of installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading voice, video and data cabling systems.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
- Analyzes blue prints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems
- Coordinates with Building Trades Manager and/or other crew members for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
- Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair
Other Information/Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform variable physical requirements in a construction or skilled trade's environment
- Minimum five years experience as a full-time electrician
- Ohio Electrical Contractor License preferred
- BICSI Technician or similar certification preferred
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Training Course certificate preferred
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit teamwork approach that recognizes the contribution of all employees
- Valid Ohio driver license
