Main Areas of Responsibility
Donley's is a top-rated commercial construction company headquartered in Cleveland, OH w/ a presence in VA, MD, NC & SC. As Site Safety Coordinator, you will be accountable for leading field safety initiatives & working w/ client. Position reports to the Regional Safety Mgr & is located in Akron, OH
Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP)
•Communicate frequently w/ RSM; report status of occupational health & safety prog.
•Plans, organizes, schedules and conducts inspections of project, work areas & equipment, conduct daily Site Audit.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
•Assist RSM to ensure compliance w/ corporate WC program & or project CCIP, including working w/ internal personnel & 3rd party admins/legal counsel, to effectively investigate & resolve claims in an expeditious & cost effective manner.
•Train corporate & site-based personnel on safety programs, policies & procedures & workplace injury avoidance; provide appropriate documentation of training conducted/coordinated to human resources in a timely manner.
Other Information/Requirements
Successful candidate must have BS degree in occupational safety, or related degree & 2+ yrs of experience (including co-op/internships) in safety/risk management in the construction industry, or in place of a BS degree 5+ yrs safety & health experience in the construction industry.
Board Cert. Safety Prof., OSHA 510 & FA/CPR certification are strongly preferred. In addition to required construction experience, previous experience with excavation & pre-cast parking structures are a plus. Must have demonstrated experience in building relationships w/ internal/external customers.
