The Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council and the Spanish American Committee's Latino Construction Program recently partnered to conduct a workforce recruiting event at the Laborers' Local 310 Hall. The event, a result of the Metro Health project, saw roughly 60 people attend, some of whom were displaced victims of Hurricane Maria, which hit Puerto Rico.

As a result of the event, several attendees were given opportunities as Carpenters and Plumbers and others are exploring different apprenticeship options.

The Cleveland Building Trades, SpanAm and partners are excited to connect the trades with this underserved population.
