Urge Your Representatives to Stop Harmful Unemployment Legislation

Body

In the next two weeks, the Ohio General Assembly plans to pass unemployment legislation that would likely harm Ohio's construction workforce by reducing unemployment compensation and making it harder to obtain.

Numerous surveys this year have shown that contractors are already having a hard time finding enough skilled career tradesmen. Making it harder for people to obtain unemployment compensation in Ohio would exacerbate this issue by making it more difficult for people to make a career in the trades.

To try and prevent this, please follow the link below and send your legislative representatives a request to take the time to seriously consider the impact on contractors. Our sister association, AGC of Ohio, has provided on online portal for contractors (members and non-members) to quickly email their representatives.
