Women in Construction: Cindy Friedmann

As a part of Women in Construction (WIC) week, March 3-9, 2019, we are highlighting the contributions of local women in the industry. The following interview is with Cindy Friedmann, President of The Dependable Painting Company. 

What is your favorite part of your job?

Seeing how professional the job looks when we have completed it.

When did you realize you wanted to work in the construction industry?  

When my father died, I was asked to come into the company to work with my brother.  It wasn’t a matter of wanting to have the job, it was more of a necessity at that time.  I am very happy with that decision.

What is your favorite project you have worked on?  

The State Theater Renovation at Playhouse Square.

What was the best vacation you ever took and why?  

Washington DC with my kids and husband.  At that age, they could appreciate our nation’s history.
