Dale Carnegie: Communicate with Different Personality Styles

Event Schedule:

  • 11:30am - Lunch
  • 12:15pm - Workshop Begins

Many behavioral psychologists have researched the theory that people's behavior can be roughly classified in four groups. No one is purely any style, and no style is better or worse than another. Each tendency has strengths and weaknesses. By recognizing our dominant personality style and developing the ability to identify traits in others, we can change our behaviors to interact with a wide variety of personalities.

This workshop helps people understand the four dominant personality styles: Driver, Expressor, Amiable, and Analytical. Knowing your style is an important element to help reach across barriers and connect with others. You need to identify your own strengths and weaknesses to take control of your actions and feelings. Then you can focus on understanding others and use effective approaches to build collaboration.

Completion of this module will empower participants to:

  • Identify your own personality style and how you react under pressure
  • Modify your behaviors to be able to connect with people of different styles
  • Influence the attitudes and behaviors of others
