Topic: Best Practice for Utility Locating

Utility detection is crucial for any project involving subsurface excavation to ensure success and prevent utility strikes. This presentation will cover the importance of employing a private utility locating company to accurately mark and map buried facilities on private property. Participants will learn about the role of professional utility locators, the training they undergo, the technologies they use, and the field-tested methodologies they apply to properly locate all site utilities.

Speaker:  Colin Broughton is a Business Development Manager and Project Manager at GPRS since March 2018. Previously, Colin worked as a Buyer/Planner at Associated Materials from June 2017 to March 2018 and at Davco Fastener Co from September 2016 to March 2017. Before that, Colin was a General Manager at Fastenal from November 2011 to September 2016 and a Communications Specialist at Verizon Wireless from July 2010 to November 2011. Colin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Mount Union in 2012.
