In this course Rob Port will discuss the general requirements to form a joint venture with minority or disadvantaged business entities and some pros and cons of partnering with minority or disadvantaged entities. Mr. Port will also review potential pitfalls in forming joint ventures, including how the requirements for commercially useful function, the control requirement for an MBE, and potential problems with “affiliation” affect joint ventures. Lunch will be provided.
