Construction Project Accountant/Administrator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
  • Daily job site time card entry in accounting software
  • Develop comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of project schedules
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on the day-to-day operations
  • Code and process daily delivery tickets
  • Produce time and material billings
  • Review costs for extra work
  • Record and track equipment movements in and out of the job site
Additional Areas of Responsibility
  • Provide administrative support to the project team
  • Follow up with subcontractors regarding project documentation as needed
  • Maintain all project documentation according to project guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as directed
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with the project team and owners
Other Information/Requirements
  • Two or more years of accounting and/or payroll experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of office practices and procedures, use of office equipment including a 10-key calculator, Vista Accounting Software or similar package and MS Office software
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
