Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled electrical maintenance and or repair to equipment, areas throughout assigned facility.
- Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits. Initiates work orders in the CMMS tool.
- Documents all work, closing work orders in the current software.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
- Installs, remodels, or upgrades equipment including, but not limited to, the normal and emergency power distribution systems, motors, security systems, fire alarm systems, beds, the pneumatic systems, nurse call systems, TV distribution system, and doors.
- Works with 480 volts and below, repairs cords and plugs, replaces over bed light switches, and practices lockout, tag out.
- Orders parts as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Information/Requirements
- Three (3) years of related experience
- Related Vocational, Technical training or Associate Degree, with focus on electrical studies, required.
- Specific experience in a large hospital is preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of the National Electrical Codes.
