Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Month-end account reconciliations – prepare or assist in preparation
- Bank account reconciliations
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable account reconciliations
- Any other accounts assigned
- Assist with payroll entries and reconciliation
- Assist with fixed assets data entry
Additional Areas of Responsibility
- Serve as backup to other accounting staff functions (billing, collections, accounts payable processing for other companies, possibly payroll processing or payroll accounting)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Other general accounting responsibilities as assigned
Other Information/Requirements
- 2+ years of experience, public accounting helpful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience performing account reconciliations and strong financial reporting a must
- Experience working with executives, management, outside service providers and others within the organization to communicate effectively, timely and to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience with mid-market or small business accounting software and report writer preferred
- Fixed asset accounting experience preferred
