Stationary Engineer
Operates and maintains centralized heating, air-conditioning, ventilation and associated equipment. Makes rounds at regular intervals reading gauges, adjusting equipment and observing the operation of all machinery. Keeps log book for recording gauges readings, fuel consumed, power generated, maintenance work performed, similar data; watches power consumption meters; starts, synchronizes, switches, and stops equipment as required. Performs preventative maintenance and other related duties as required.
Must be able to read, interpret and analyze blueprints; ability to plan; knowledge of local and State building codes; knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA standards; ability to calculate fractions, decimals and percentages. Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical materials in books and manuals.
High School education or equivalent; minimum of five- 5 years as a Stationary Engineer. Must have a valid State of Ohio, Stationary Engineers Class 3 license. Experience in preventative maintenance repair and installation of Boilers and HVAC equipment. Experience and knowledge of different types Building Automation Systems , electrical motors and pumps.
