Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
Under supervision, directs the work of a field party or performs personally the more complex technical tasks involving the preparation of legal descriptions, land surveys, survey maps, and record plats. Supervises a field party in the performance of tasks necessary to land surveys or to the preparation of design drawings, and the construction of public improvements entailing, but not necessarily limited to, location and topographic surveys, profiles, and cross-sections and the staking of projects for construction in conformity with approved plans.
Additional Areas of Responsibility
- Prepares legal descriptions, and prepares or directly supervises the preparation of, survey maps and record plats.
- Trains subordinates in the use and care of theodolites, transits, levels, and other surveying instruments.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Other Information/Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be licensed as a Surveyor by the State of Ohio.
- Must have office experience.
- A valid State of Ohio Driver's license is required.
