Unanimously Adopted by CEA’s Board of Directors

CLEVELAND, September 25, 2019 – The Construction Employers Association (CEA), the leading trade association for the Northeast Ohio construction industry, is disappointed with yesterday’s ruling by the Ohio Supreme Court. CEA has stood with the City of Cleveland in its efforts to ensure that Cleveland residents get to work on public City projects. Regardless of this week’s legal ruling, CEA remains committed to building our communities. Not only the roads, bridges, schools, and skylines, but also the skills, pride and careers of the men and women whose taxes and commerce make building possible.
“The case didn't go our way as we stood with the City of Cleveland, but our commitment to diversity and putting Clevelanders to work on Cleveland projects is stronger than ever and we look forward to providing solutions to address this legal set-back on an industry-wide basis,” said CEA’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Linville.
