Change in Design Will Extend I-490 Construction Work

A change in design to the portion of Interstate 490 between Interstate 77 and East 55th Street that is closed for roadwork on the Opportunity Corridor will delay its reopening by six months, the Ohio Department of Transportation said.
The design change, made following a review of plans for the roadway, will create a more gradual slope where the road will pass under East 55th and attach to the new Opportunity Corridor Boulevard.
