Monster's year-end look at hiring and job searching in 2018 found that construction- and trade-oriented industries accounted for much of the hiring in 2018, according to its 2018 The Year in Jobs Report.
Construction was part of a category that also included trades, manufacturing and storage/distribution, which held the top spot in 27 states, including much of the Midwest, which Monster rebranded from the "Rust Belt" to the "Construction, Trades, Production, and Warehousing Belt."
