CLEVELAND, September 17, 2019 – The Contractors Assistance Association (CAA) has announced the recipients of its inaugural, Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Awards. These unique awards are given to premiere individuals and organizations in recognition of their support of the expansion of Northeast Ohio’s Construction Industry alongside their commitment to its diversity and inclusion programs.

The awards will be presented during a special CAA recognition ceremony at the organization’s 10th anniversary celebration. The event is titled, "Embracing Diversity, Enhancing Relationships: Celebrating Pioneers in Northeast Ohio's Construction Industry” and will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Intercontinental Cleveland, located at 9801 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. The evening’s festivities will begin with a VIP Reception & Networking, and will culminate with a Program and Awards Ceremony where the nine individuals and organizations will be recognized. 

“Our 2019 honorees truly represent the best in our industry, and their commitment to diversity and inclusion is an example for future generations,” noted Margaret Hewitt, Board Chairman, Contractors Assistance Association and Chief Executive Officer and Founder of The Construction Green Team.

2019 Diversity Champions to be recognized for commitment and dedication to construction industry  inclusion include: Norm Edwards; Terry Bolden; Jenice Contreras; Marsha Mockabee, Gus Hoyas, Lenora Lockett and Steve Sims.
