This prestigious accolade – based on the meticulous analysis of job creation, capital expenditures, and strategic infrastructure development from 2019 to 2023 – reaffirms Ohio's position at the heart of strategic growth. Additionally, both Columbus and Cincinnati excelled in the Index, ranking among the top 5 most active metropolitan cities in the United States for infrastructure and economic expansion projects.
Site Selection is an authoritative news outlet that tracks and reports on economic development projects and trends. Our top ranking in this holistic survey is a testament to the powerful synergy between the DeWine/Husted Administration’s visionary public infrastructure investments and private sector facilities expansion enabled by JobsOhio and our six regional economic development partners. Working as a team, Ohio generated more than 102,129 new job commitments and $62.24 billion in investments based on JobsOhio data from 2019 through 2023.
