We install reinforced rebar. We also provide laborers for jobs when needed as well as safety services, training, inspections, and personnel.
What are the favorite part(s) of your job and why?
I enjoy creating jobs. We’re putting employees to work and creating a blueprint. We have our fingers all around the city.
What has been the key to your company's success thus far?
Our knowledgeable employees and their commitment to each client we serve.
What important changes/initiatives are you working on now?
We are working to provide more training to our employees, to make sure we can meet the demands of the tasks out in the field as well as in the office.
How has HR Construction Services, LLC benefited from its CEA membership?
Our CEA membership has afforded us the opportunity to get to know different, other member companies that we probably would not have met as quickly without it. We find the resources such as safety training, professional development and state and federal industry updates beneficial as well. CEA keeps us in the loop.
What is the importance of mentoring and inclusion? If you had/have a mentor who was it and what value did it provide you/your company?
It’s important to have someone to guide you, to help you avoid mistakes. Being a small contractor, I have an opportunity to have a seat at the table.
How does HR Construction Services, LLC retain talent?
We get talent from the union hall as well as outside sources such as LinkedIn or jobs.com. We retain talent by making sure they know they are the backbone of the company, keeping them informed, showing appreciation and thanking them for the work they do.
What would you say to someone at the beginning of their career in construction?
You’re in for the ride of your life. Enjoy every moment. Construction is forever changing and you will change too.
