Update on Two big ODOT Projects

Two of Ohio’s biggest road construction projects have been chugging along in Greater Cleveland, even during the coronavirus crisis, with progress being made on the years’ long work for both the Interstate 480 Bridge and Cleveland’s new Opportunity Corridor.

I-480 Valley View Bridge: The nearly seven-year project to rehab the giant I-480 twin bridges over the Cuyahoga Valley and add a third bridge are on target for completion in 2024. 

I-490 and Opportunity Corridor: The long-awaited Opportunity Corridor – a new boulevard linking Interstate 77 to University Circle – is expected to be “substantially” open for traffic in fall 2021, with the project being completed in the summer of 2022.
