Parts Planner
Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Order equipment parts for mechanics
- Stock parts on shelves once parts are delivered
- Operate forklift to load/unload parts
- Pull requested parts from shelve
- Purchase order entry
- Expedite shipping and receiving
- Take inventory of equipment parts
- Identify and secures all parts and materials required to complete the work
Additional Areas of Responsibility
- Provide prompt and courteous service, assists and advises customers on how to best meet their needs
- Negotiate with vendors and supplier
- Record and maintain parts and maintenance history
- Type letters, making faxes and copies, and send emails
- Answer and make phone calls
- Attend meetings and taking notes
Other Information/Requirements
- High School/Equivalent or Associates Degree
- 2-5 years of parts and/or equipment maintenance experience
- Construction knowledge preferred but not required
- Must be able to look up parts applications by manuals, catalogs or web based systems.
- Utilize company software (Viewpoint)
- Must be able to climb on and under equipment to locate part numbers.
- Proficiency with MS Office
