The Ohio Turnpike’s current system of toll collection was implemented in 2009 and is approaching the end of its useful life. To prepare for that outcome, and because our customers have clearly supported a plan to remove toll gates, we are planning to modernize our Toll Collection System (TCS).
Construction is anticipated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2019 and conclude at the end of 2021, subject to Commission approval of the contracts to design, acquire and build the necessary infrastructure."
