ACE Mentoring Program Prepares Next Generation of Construction/Skilled Trades Workforce

A program supported by Construction Employers Association (CEA), for the last 13 years, The ACE Mentoring Program - Cleveland has worked to expose school students to careers in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering industry, including skilled trades.  

But, most recently, their Career Pathway Committee decided to make the latter more of a priority.

Multiple Northeast Ohio contractors have recently been hacked and temporarily incapacitated until significant monetary ransoms were paid to the online thieves. Having hit Fortune 500 companies like Sony, Target, and Equifax, online criminals are now finding easy targets in construction.

The program will launch new opportunities for construction trade unions. The program is a new workforce development nonprofit that connects hard-working Clevelanders with middle-class jobs and tuition-free training in union construction apprenticeships in the Greater Cleveland region.
